Static Pressure Sensor

Ultra-Low Sensing Range
The
SP001 series sensor is designed to measure and control the exhaust conditions
in commercial baking ovens and driers.
The sensor’s ultra-low differential pressure range of (+/- 25 Pa)
ensures that accurate measurements can be made over a wide range of
processing conditions. Benefits of Exhaust Flow
Control
Excessive
exhaust requires relatively cool ambient air to be drawn into the oven/drier,
where it is heated before being discharged.
This will result in significantly increased fuel consumption, higher
energy costs, and higher greenhouse gas emissions. Insufficient exhaust (positive pressure in the oven/drier) can
result in fumes entering work area, and condensation of water and organic
volatiles within the insulation and on the outer surfaces of the processing
equipment. Insulation can become
saturated with oils, creating a real fire risk. Metal components of the over/drier construction can be quickly
damaged by corrosive condensates. |
Compatibility with Existing
Ovens
The
SP001 sensor system can be fitted to most existing ovens and driers. The main NEMA 12 enclosure is designed to
mount on the outer surface of the oven/drier. Since there is no flow through the sample tube, the risk of
condensation or blockage is minimized.
Sensing locations for a particular oven/drier are optimized during installation,
to minimize signal noise. Feedback Control of Exhaust
Flow
The display/controller unit features a high-visibility LED display with full PID controller functionality. The system can be used for display or static pressure only, or for display and control of the exhaust flow for the oven/drier.
